About Business & Financial Services
The Business & Financial Services Unit (B&FS) in the Office of Administrative Services provides financial management and human resources support including budget management, financial operations, procurement, talent acquisition and employment. B&FS ensures consistency in finance and human resources practices across the division and coordinates the annual working budget.The team works closely with University Human Resources, Procurement & Business Services and the Division of Finance.
- For most units in the division, B&FS directly supports all matters related to talent acquisition, budget, financial operations and procurement.
- At the division level, B&FS coordinates the annual working budget and related activities, manages large-scale processes such as COLA, bonuses and merit pay allocations, and ensures consistency in processes and practices across the division.
- For the Vice President, the unit provides monthly and quarterly financial and human resources reports, manages project and other special purpose funds, and conducts special projects.
