SeeClickFix Mobile App User Instructions

1. Download the App

  • Download the SeeClickFix mobile app from the Apple or Android app store. 
  • When the app first launches, if prompted for a location, enter ‘College Park, MD’ to get to UMD’s SeeClickFix screen.

2. Register for a SeeClickFix Account (optional, but required to qualify for promotion)

  • Click on ‘Profile’ in the lower right corner
  • Click ‘Register.’ (Android users: Also click ‘Sign up for a SeeClickFix account.’) 
  • On the Create New Account screen:
    • Enter your UMD email for your login ID, contact details and password, then click ‘Create Account’
      • You must create a password
      • Do not select the option to ‘Use Another Service to Create an Account’
  • The system will email you a one-time passcode to enter for authentication purposes
  • On the Complete Registration screen, enter your email, display name and a default UMD location for future use, agree to the Terms of Use, and click ‘Register’

3. While on campus, report issues on the spot and in real time

  • Only report non-emergency outdoor physical issues on campus
  • Ensure your location services are ‘on’
  • In the SeeClickFix app, click the plus (+) sign to start
    • Enter the issue, location, photo, details as prompted by the app (the order will vary depending on whether you have an Android or iPhone device)
    • You may be prompted for permissions to your phone’s camera and location services 
    • Location tip: Drag the map to put the pin at your current location (the pin does not move) 

Notes

  • The system is monitored Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. when UMD is open
  • Using the “Show Your Identity” option enables you to receive email updates (the other options have limited feedback functionality)
  • SeeClickFix is a public platform and reports are viewable by other users; your display name can be seen by others, but not your contact information
