Administration Excellence

Administration Excellence is an ongoing program that recognizes Division of Administration staff for exemplifying the division’s mission, vision and values through individual or team work.

The program gives all staff members the opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication their peers are demonstrating by submitting a nomination form, which is reviewed by a committee made up of members from each unit in the division.

The goal of this program is to encourage a sense of belonging, appreciation and pride, and improve engagement throughout our division.

Nominations will be reviewed on a rolling basis and can be submitted at any time throughout the year.

Learn more about the program below:

  • Anyone from the UMD community (non-Administration included) can nominate a Division of Administration employee or team of no more than 10 people.
  • The employee or team members must be regular Exempt or Non-Exempt.
  • If nominating an individual, the employee must have a current PRD rating of "Meet Expectations" or "Above".
    • This does not apply for team nominations.
  • They must be an employee of the division for a minimum of six months.

A person or team of no more than 10 people can be nominated for exemplifying the division’s mission, vision and values through individual or team work. Examples include (but are not limited to):

Nominations can be for a single, specific event or a more generalized demonstration of the division's mission, vision and values in the person or team's work.

The person or team you wish to nominate should exemplify the division's mission, vision and values in their work. Please see the second question for examples/details. Additionally, the review committee will review submissions and determine whether the nomination qualifies for Administration Excellence or is more qualified to be a Shout Out/Thank You.

Recognition will be shared division-wide on the website and in the Division Connections online newsletter.
